My wife said to me this morning, after seeing me viewing coins on ebay, "Oh, that reminds me, I have a coin I found at work that looked different from the rest. I know it's probably nothing."

Here's what she found and brought home for me

This coin has been through a lot of hands! Lots of tales it could tell if only it could speak.

For me it's not too uncommon to find VF to EF old coins in circulation rolls because anyone can realease them to the bank. What's really difficult to find is coins like the one you posted. Being in circulation for so many years and worn out so much, and no one has appeared to have taken it.

Great find chequer...

It's funny how many may still be in circulation, I was in the Hardware store not long ago and the girl at the cash was opening a roll of quarters and they were all silver..
I asked if she would trade them, she said her husband collects coins so she would put them away for him..
