The mint store in Vancouver had a shipment of 25 glass frogs today. There was a couple when I left.

I only received the email from RCM on Friday and it was already sold out when I called the Ottawa boutique!! I'm so lucky to have snatched one at a Canada Post office today! I definitely want to keep an eye on this series. A friend of mine is still trying her luck calling around! Please let me know if anyone has access to pre-sales!! TIA! |

I received my glass frog today and I have to say it's very unique and I really like it !
It's the only coin that I own that I bothered to show to my wife and she loved it ! When I told her that there were 3 more I didn't have she said "why don't you get them then" ?
So I guess I'm in the market for the first 3 in the series.

Congrats for the Glass Frog, sherwooddavid!
I liked how the coin looks, from the pictures, that members posted, not collect the series, but wanted to get it. That time even the "Coin Shoppe" was sold out.
Yesterday, when I came to local PO to pickup the package from the Mint (with the Frog), on their display I saw.....the Glass Frog coin!
They had only one in stock, they actually ordered only without being aware of its popularity because "it is very expensive coin to order a few".
So, no I enjoy mine coin too!

First one is very expensive I'm lucky enough to own one and my father also owns one. the mintage of the first one is five thousand and is very hard to find. I wonder if it will ever fetch 1100-1200 $ in the future specially with every new coin released they seem to increase the mintage. Some amount became available from "The Coin Shoppe" for bit more than issue price. Still worth it, if you missed the coin, or seeking for additional one.

All of my frogs are home now..I picked up a couple of extras from canada post when the news was spreading about the mint orders being cancelled..  |

My friend called the Mint Boutique in Ottawa yesterday and all of a sudden they have 1 in stock. She immediately dropped everything and ran straight to the boutique and got it! So happy for her. =)

I bought a couple from the mint site....noticed them sitting at 2 PO near me yesterday.....didn't bother buying them....I don't need an army of frogs, just 2 for the collection.

I got my third one from CP yesterday and I got a nice low COA number too, I'm not buying anymore though
