I have nice observation: 2011: Being aware of the Glass Ladybug just from the rumors was able to get it almost for issue price (+shipping) from the Mint (long time ago gave it to my mother). 2012: Without a MC status bought Glass Bumblbee from the PO - no pre-orders, just entered, saw and bought. 2013: was aware week before the MC release, being MC due to RCM site slowness on the release hour needed to call Mint and order Glass Butterfly. 2014: with 2.500 units extra of mintage, my rep was excited to tell me that his allocation depleted and probably I can't get the coin via him. I do not like the conclusion that comes to mind.

I still feel the first 2 are the best! I have really liked what the mint has done with the Birds of Canada series. I started collecting them in 2012. I've managed to get most if the older coins for reasonable prices. I only have the 3 most expensive coins left. It will take time / patience to get those. It's a nice affordable series, when you exclude the 3 most pricey ones. The birds are attractive and well done. They show well on easels to make an attractive display. I felt the cone flower did not pop like the other flowers, it was a drawback for me. Hopefully the colors will pop on this coin.

I was just talking with a friend. He was told by a mint rep, website goes live at 4pm, I'm assuming its Ontario time. Also wait time is currently very little. They've learned from last yr. good luck.

Quote: looks like they held a few back Yes, it is obvious that reps get a certain allocation and their allotment is sold out. Now they are letting MC members without a rep to get some of the coins. Otherwise there would be a huge outcry from MC members complaining. How long these coins last is hard to say but people who want it better order fast. I think the butterfly last year sold out in a hour.

I hope people arent buying this coin with the intentions on flipping.....With the 12500 mintage that all but kills any chance of this coin selling for a premium down the road. Already seeing but it nows for 179 on ebay. After fees...... you are left with pocket change.

What about getting them to do trades? I've already traded 2 for some other coins I wanted at discounted prices. Then I got 2 for myself. The first 2 were last week through CP. now to see who ships quicker! I like the native coins better! However, my butterfly is lonely and needs company!
