Like I said the mint is pathetic.
@MTS I'm sure gatewest, Colonial Acres. Canadian coin currency should have some tomorrow morning a the mint price.

Sounds like they kept the website active too long and you ordered on the second day?
It was surprising that the frogs didn't sell out on the website earlier but there is no excuse if that is what happened. Programming a system to put up a wall when inventory reaches near zero is pretty simple stuff.
Wondering if anyone who has a rep had orders cancelled.
I wouldn't count on GW or C/A. GW sometimes do sell a few at issue but C/A generally hold back popular coins and add a premium. Likely a limit of 1 too.
Based on the past, your best bet is CDN Coins & Currency. Check sometime after midnight.

Agree with CC-Ottawa last year I did a try - on the day of the public release, at the midnight, put the order at CC&C for Glass Butterfly As a result: yes, I bought the coin (that actually didn't need it) for issue price. And it was shipped prior the RCM shipping, packaged with extra-care. Go for it, and check the CC&C website at midnight - I sure, you will get the coin. This time, for curiosity only I'll check it again

For people on the westcoast, CDNcoinsCuurrency goes live at 9:00 pm. So don't wait until midnight. Also, check the Mint website, last month the public release was before midnight here.

This year we are trying something a little different. We gave our customers (Non dealers) that follow us on Twitter a unique non transferable code they can use to call us toll free and redeem for a glass frog at issue price. We will see how it turns out tomorrow when the calls start coming in. Thanks again to all those who follow us.

Hope I don't get a cancellation because it appears it might be at random. On RFD, 2 individuals had their orders cancelled and they placed them within 10 minutes of the stock going live.

I applaud the creative Twitter angle but don't follow/friend etc coin dealers on public websites. Call me paranoid but it's just too easy for the wrong people to track you down as a coin collector. I also don't tell very many people that I collect coins. Loose lips and everything like that, for the same reason.
I ordered through my rep and my cc was pre-authorised today but still I'm a little nervous after reading the stories on the other forum. It sounds like the Mint has a lot of explaining to do, especially if they have frogs available for sale tomorrow.

Hard to say.
In the past with various popular coins, they have both held coins back for public release and not sold any to the general public.
The actions of the Mint are rarely predictable IMO.
