Possible Civil War Token? - Coin Community Forum

I believe it is a civil war token whether it be real or a copy is the question. Any thoughts? Whats the general value of something like this? Report this Post to the Staff

I did find your token in my Guide Book of Civil War Tokens by David Bowers. Both dies of your token is listed as MI-525-C Rarity (R-2): 2001-5000 You can see them listed here. Penny Guy Pillar of the Community United States 531 Posts	Posted 03/29/2014 5:22 pm Fuzzy and ExoGuy are right on. I live in Jackson, MI and collect this merchant. Your token is a MI 525 C-6a variety. The obverse is the C6 die and the reverse is the C5 die. This merchant mixed up his custom dies to get 23 varieties. To date I have 16 of them.
