I'm just seeing a mark on the Rim's edge, no real Cud IMO

It is a rim Cud. But these are not the type of Cud collectors want. More of a show it to a new collector type coin.
Rest in Peace

Coop - how significant does a Cud need to be to attract interest (from the masses, not the individual)?

This was in my change this a.m.

that one is a great start. A Cud is progressing chipping away of the die. A rim Cud is a chipping away of the collar. So the stronger a Cud, the more valuable if it is appealing to a buyer. On a rim Cud, the collar break may look interesting to new collectors, but the Cud collectors probably won't look twice at it. As for pricing of either, a search on ebay with the highest and lowest prices for the same grade divided by two will get you the medium grade. Don't go by BIN prices as they might be out of touch with the true value of their coin. Best to get more than two prices and averaging them out to see what the field is willing to pay on finished auction prices.

John1...The Cud would have to be big like the Cud below covering the whole coin.

So in theory where that rim Cud started there could be big Cuds forming latter on ? If so it would be cool to get a matching a rim Cud and stronger Cud matching set from same year and die.

It could spread, but the machine might be sounding different when this happens and they might catch it.
Rest in Peace
