Not quite shinny enough, I guess they needed a little polish.
What has this done to the value of these coins?

Question to the forum. Would you rather have an EF with natural wear or a polished uncirculated coin?

There's nothing like the look of a shiney silver coin after a brisk wipe with an SOS pad.

Reverse looks nice, obverse is highly polished. Normally if it was a light cleaning, I'd rather have the UNC Details. But with cleaning this bad, I'd rather have a problem-free EF.

Your 1948 is EF details, more than melt but less than cat value.

EDIT: your 48 looks closer to an AU details grade

I don't mind gently cleaned so the coin can be appreciated, but one scratch on a coin and I hide it so I don't have to look at it.
