center band is flat and compromised with those scratches
upper band does not seem complete enough
I would not think to get the very scarce 45-P FSB

Not quite FSB. Upper band is a little flat as mentioned above.

Certainly an above-average strike but not quite strong enough, plus the nicks are in just the wrong place. TPG's will be very strict when considering an FSB grade for the 1945-P. |

It is a good strike, but the bands are showing some weakness. The 1945 is very rare in FSB so the TPGs will be very strict when giving this an FSB grade

As the others said, this one is close but most likely will not TPG as an FSB coin. |

"Full Split Bands," in this case, the horizontal bands binding the fasces on the reverse. These have to be clearly split for their entire lengths, with no questionable areas. Mercurys are generally common with such good strikes, but 1945-P is extremely rare with FSB. Rare, like, any Mint State version will cost you upwards of $1000 and you're looking at $15,000 in MS65. |
