I have a 1969 d penny and it has a large lip around the side like a rim. It cuts off half of the letters on the top and the l on liberty. It is very uniform and clean. I you fortunatly cant upload a pic for some reason. Can anyway give me an idea of what I have and more specifically value?

You will have to be more clear and there is no real way to figure out what it is without a picture.

Looking like a Dryer Coin. The edges have been beat down.

It is indeed a Dryer Coin.
A few reasons why:
1) The devices/ surfaces are flattened/ scratched up/ marked up.
2) The edge has been hit many, many times in the dryer. That's why the edge looks like that. All Dryer Coins have edges like this one.

The reverse side is the same. It is not flattened or scratched. The edge of the coin is bent upwards perfectly uniformed on both sides. Ithis doesn't resemble a Dryer Coin in any way

It's not a Broadstrike. A Broadstrike would have a larger diameter than normal because it was struck out of collar. The rim also wouldn't be so well formed, as the collar wasn't in place to create the rim.

This is what a Broadstrike looks like: http://error-ref.com/broadstrike--centered.html

As stated above, it looks like every Dryer Coin I've seen. Still a neat conversation piece.

Absolutely a Dryer Coin I have no doubt. Certainly not an error.

Definitely a Dryer Coin. Not an extreme case, but definitely one.

Edit: Here's my Dryer Coin. It's spent a much longer time in the dryer than yours. Look at the rims and compare it to yours. It curls inwards, that's how you know it's a Dryer Coin.

It looks as if the rims are starting to over lap the words and date on the coin.

I would have to vote Dryer Coin with there only being 1 picture.

If you see anything else that doesn't really show up in the picture you posted you should try to get a few more of the same coin.

It would help to see what your seeing a bit more.

Keep hunting and Good Luck !
