Not an error. It's a full strike,a little more pressure then usual.

The one in the lower left looks pretty good too. Is Lincoln crying in that one?

It is educational for the rest of us who are still learning coin-language.

I was having fun sifting through the ten cent bin at a local coin shop yesterday, and I saw some Canadian pennies that were struck like this and I wondered what the proper words were for the difference. "Full strike" - now I know.

I may have used the wrong word "full" when I should have used "strong". A full strike may indicate a MS70 grade I am not sure but your coin does look like it had more then the usual pressure-tonnage when minted. I hope coop chimes in soon because he can explain much better then I.
