I almost exclusively focus on small cents, so I have a question with regards to this nickel: Is this a normal rim for a Jefferson nickel? It basically has a second, outer rim all the way around both sides of the coin, kind of like a MAD coin has for part of one side of the rim. All opinions are appreciated, thanks.
Okay, it most likely is something other than grinding and it also must be fairly common with nickels (and therefore no big deal), because I just found a 1987-P nickel with nearly identical rims.
