I was on ebay late last night and seen a coin listed as a melted penny... but it doesn't look torched to me.. more like a Struck Through Grease or late stage die cap.

I got a struck through late stage die cap a few weeks back and this looks like its his long lost twin?

Either way it only $16 to win this pretty little thing my other one one needed company badly...

New one

I agree with struck through die cap. I got one from the bay, that was listed incorrectly, a couple weeks ago for .99 + $1.00 shipping! Very nice coin!!

I concur. But it did end up selling for about the same or more than correctly labeled coins of the same error, considering its a zinc cent in that condition.

Regardless, its a cool piece. Date:2000?
