The RCMs new connection with Warner Bro - coupled with new Batman movie this Xmas could result in dark knight coins...

No doubt in my mind they will use their DC and Warner Bros licenses for Batman coins. They saw the success of the Superman series and will want to replicate it anyway they can. With the Superman series coming to a close (for now), you can bet on it!

So need to be very careful, if RCM will change the MC program, the 14kt Gold Batman coin with a limited mintage might be non accessible for other rather than advanced members.

So really nothing will have changed lol, most flippers buy more then regular members anyways and they get reps, they will be platinum members so same old same old.

I hope, people at the Mint not stupid.
They might enter to the program some law, according to which it will be illegal resell coins let's say in the first month after coin received, or illegal re-sell for more than issue price in the first months. This will reduce speculation or even eliminate speculation.

That's not a bad option Silveroid... How would they enforce it though... Batman coin for example which would be highly sought, would be a one coin per MC member basis - ordered and sale transaction completed/regulated through individual rep only may work...as I suspect they figured out that flippers have multiple accounts.

Telling the truth, the Mint will just prefer to increase the mintage, to satisfy all collectors. But limit as 1 coin is also helps...

Once the coin is purchased by the collector, how can the RCM track if the coin was resold? Sellers don't give their real names on ebay, Kijiji, or Craiglist. Besides, the RCM does not penalize their big dealers like Gatewest Coins who jacked up their prices 5 minutes after hot coins are sold out at the RCM.

If the 2014 gold superman coin flopped, why would the 2015 version behave any differently.

I think the 2013 Gold Superman set the standard and the last 2 do not come close. Just my thoughts .

Quote: If the 2014 Gold Superman coin flopped, why would the 2015 version behave any differently. Is it a flop when it is still selling for between $900 and $1000 since it came out last year? Last time I looked, the 2014 Gold Superman coin is the only coin in 1 1/2 years to even sell above issue price. And that is out of hundreds of releases in 2014 and 2015. Not a single coin in that time period have even come close to selling above issue price consistently. If you use the criteria that the 2014 Gold coin is a flop, then every single RCM coin is a flop (in terms of resale value).

i think the RCM may have blundered in releasing the 2015 Superman less than 9 months after the last release..Its affecting the secondary market for the 2014 coins big time...I think it would be good if they didnt have further Superman releases......I think the Superman coins may be in demand for years to come but the prices probably wont really increase for a few years because of the glut of coins released... ..looking at the 2015 silver coins I'm not that impressed at a second glance..the heat ray vision coin will be popular I think ..the gold coin is nicer than the 2014 for sure..The 2013 release was special ..now its becoming a bit much and its possible prices could drop below issue on this one.......i see that Talisman has a good deal on the gold coin..i bought from them last year and they were good. The fake issue is also quite problematic and ebay should be more vigorous in stopping sales of fake RCM coins....

I only got one complete set for my collection, I could have gotten two but I didn't want to go through the hassle of selling them.
