Thats right, they could change the denomination to purity such as .999 or one oz etc instead of $20 etc. But they still would have copy write issues using the superman trade mark I think.
These guys made silver rounds of the curved US baseball coins by changing the denomination from one dollar to one oz.
So....with the Gold Supermen coin, looks like better not to wait for public release. Now we have 30 days for return, when it will get to the public - people will chase for them, and will be no such luxury to have this coin in collection for issue.
See, if you collect the Superman - yes, buy 1 only. To have it in collections, or possible re-sell. Without reselling as a target. That way you mind will be quiet.
But if you think, that you have enough of the S-man coins - leave it....it not the single opportunity to make some money.
However, knowing how the mint thinks, I wouldn't be surprised to see another release next year...
Also, I have been able to obtain either a genuine comic book or the replica of the veary early versions that the 2013 and 2014 coins were based on. Eventually when I can find the time I would like to photograph them all together and show them here on the forum.
Now I guess I will have to track down the 2015 comic books...
NuMoose Alas a true collector...telling it like it is... I'll also come out and announce that I too ordered the comic hero entire set and quite frankly don't give a hoot if it doesn't appreciate - they are keepers - cool, original, a Solid Canadian connection... And as somebody pointed out somewhere...that 2015 gold retro depicts the cover from 1940...75 years back... The entire Superman series was well done!!
