Quote: Too much hype already, I foresee a lot of returned Superman coins in the 30 days after release. this is coin by our Mint and it deserves it. But re-sellers should be smart and not over-flood immediately the market and not undercut each other cause they tied up with the purchases and want to move it right now. anyway nice to see when the coin gets appreciation.

Those of you who postulated 2015 Superman coins to be released in July may now wish to seriously re-evaluate your sources...as its May and RCM Supermen are soaring again... Not sure I could agree that there is a whole lot of hype... The response has been quite controlled...but consistent and predictable in that all who want the 3rd and likely final Gold are going about ordering it in an orderly fashion either through rep or MC or other avenues that continue to pop up. This ain't no looney - these will not find there way back to RCM - in 30 days... Of the three - this coin certainly looks most appealing to the eye which will be very sought out by collectors and fans of the comic, no doubt. First Gold coin will also by default now become more desirable as that with this new Gold - both retro...are the most popular comic collections. Congrats to the few who have both.

Gold coin is still available as a MC member, think I am going to pass this time though. There are already Kijiji ads up in the range of 1250-1500.

Quote:This ain't no looney - these will not find there way back to RCM - in 30 days... Some will if they are not selling for enough profit on ebay etc. The gold "might" do ok but your looking at about $864 CA taxes in , thats a lot of money at this point in time in this market, this isn't 2013 where the sky was the limit with many coin values rising , but then took a hard down turn to where we are today. Still, the RCM makes high quality coins there is no doubt, I have coins from many different mints around the world , the RCM coins are pretty much top of the heap as far as quality goes. Just wish they would lower the mintage on most of their silver coins or drop the price by atleast 30%.

But only one on Kijiji, GTA
reasonable asking price (although to have quick sale, should consider to drop $100). With diplomatic partially truth description, mentioning "pre-release", without saying, that will be available on release (same as in 2013 and 2014).
Checked the "sold" listings for the Superman coins...re-sellers will not like the true situation:
The most popular are 2013-2014 "token" sets, with or without tin, they go approximately for CAD 30. And this is the "other side" of being fan: Fans care about Superman and not about the coins, they want affordable items, depicting their superhero.

Yes, you right - fakesI used the most common word, that appears in these listings. We need to be aware, that if for the coin collector its like "taboo" to mix these into coin collection, for the other people they just "tokens", "rounds", "artistic coins". Since there is no genuine item (ask people what is the " RCM"), thus no fake. And to tell them that the gold coin is real, rare and collectible, while plated round isn't - the answer will be "Each one buys according to the budget".

These are "fakes" unless they have copy or replica on the coin itself, they are "fakes" No one should be buying these at all regardless of their budget considering its illegal to own/sell them. Just that there is little to no enforcement it seems.

The one in GTA at $1250 is mine, I posted it after a rep allowed me to order 2 yesterday, I honestly don't mind dropping the price even down to $1000 as I didnt expect much profit out of this anyways, wasn't even gonna order till I found out its the last one.

Have a good luck with it. Looks like you will compete with DWS in this region. Northerncoins: iPhone cables for $10 are the same as for $25...tested by iPhone owners and fans. Same for the Superman fans non-coin collectors.

Iphone cords are not quite the same thing as legal tender Canadian coins with denominations etc. This is from 2009, I didn't look for up to date info but this is most likely still current. Quote:On ebay, replica collector coins, almost all of which come from China, are shown with the word 'replica' or 'copy' carved into them and can be bought for a tiny fraction of the cost of the genuine article. But Chinese manufacturers must pay someone to hand-press the disclaimer into the coins, and so are quite happy to ship them to you without the mark. The coins then become counterfeits that can be resold to unsuspecting collectors and leave them in possession of something that can land them in jail. Oh it appears even "replica" stamped into the coin is a criminal offense in Canada as well. (On Canadian fake coins) Quote: Ebay banned the sale of Canadian replicas in July after the RCMP reminded it that the sale of any replica coin, whether stamped or not, is a criminal offence in Canada, Farahbakhchian says. So I guess we should send the listing to the RCMP if we see any on ebay.CA then... http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/bu...7602827.html

In bottom line, it is illegal..agree
If the fake manufacturers would copy design only, and do not put the country and denomination. That way, they will face only the issue with the copyrights violation, which I assume do not turns the buyers to criminals.
