well considering that today is the 28, we don't/won't get that much of a advance notice on those... isn't' it the whole point of MC?

mts is right.
The new coins are listed, but folks, don't panic that they are all listed as Awaiting Stock.
The brand new, fully upgraded and modernized mint website will be sure to allow you to order in the very near future.
In the meantime you can have a gander at the goodies.

Again and again I am looking on the "Exploring Canada" coins....nice artwork. The "Vikings" also should be great, according to the image on the box. But with the mintage of the 15.000, looks like similar to 2013 O Canada set, later they will be discounted at the dealers stores. Added: The "3D Coloured Coin - Haunted Canada Ghost Bride" coin might turn a short-time winner (almost like first GITD): *first in the series *relatively not huge mintage - 15.000 (specially, if the mintage will be increased for the next issues) *not expencive *fancy theme Too bad, that the "3-D" this is other word for "lenticular" And also online the RCM didn't reveal the image of the D-Day coin, while it was displayed in the catalog? Funny.

The only coins that grab my interest are the explorers and the baby beaver, however, I'm not going to be buying any. I even cancelled my subscription to the Great Lakes series. I plan to finish it by finding coins at under issue. I feel $114 is way to much, with all these releases. I'm a collector and not a millionaire.

"Explorers" are great....but them I probably get later. I have incomplete empty O Canada box (for 10 1/2oz coins), so ordered "the Goose", and broke on the "D-Day", which is also 34mm......and Lake Erie will come with the sub

Not for the first time, I notice, that the subscription coins (specially 2014 O Canada 1/2oz) "awaiting stock".
As I understand, they not very popular, and the batch, that has been minted, distributed among the subscriptions and dealers.
We might see really low final mintages for them...
I think, the Mint "overplayed" with this series, but some coins, the animals, nicely crafted. Ordered the "Goose"

That beaver is growing on me. I'm 100% that awaiting stock means nothing.
I want to pick up the D day but I'm wondering if the mint will offer a collectors box for all these war themed coins in the end, I mean if the sales are no spectacular wouldn't they?

I really like the D-Day coin, already ordered the ghost, can't afford to order any more, only think keeping me back from getting D-Day coin is the fact that it doesn't come with custom black beauty box, I really hate those for some reason, I prefer the custom ones, such as the RMS empress one, Also the exploring Canada, in the MC book it said available individually, but not online subscription only. I HATE how the mint has tons of coins and on top of that HIGH mintage, if the exploring Canada subscription for example, had a mintage of 5000 or so, I would get it for sure, but 15000 simply means later on they will be available for 70-80% of the retail value.

I completely agree. Had the new Voyageur coin subscription came with a wooden box and had each coin limited to 5,000 I would have bought it. Although the coins are really nice, 15,000 for each coin is too high.

yeah, the wooden box would have been much better as well, if it did come with a wooden box, I would have ordered the first 3 and cancelled in order to get the box, and then buy the remaining at discounted price, the coins (atleast the ones shown) are really nice, and much much better than the 20for20 coins they are releasing
