Thanks for the photo Panada!

That coin really "gives me the willies". I'm glad I decided to pass on it.

I purchased the WWI Expeditionary Force $5 coin and "The Voyageurs" $15 coin (single, not subscription). I like the history behind each.

On a side note: These coins are two examples of why I believe the RCM doesn't truly consider its modern NCLT products to be "real" coins. Each of the coins is struck on the same planchet as is used for Canada's silver dollar - 36.07 mm in diameter with a weight of 23.17 grams. To date, the RCM has used this silver planchet for coins with denominations of $1, $5, $8, $10 and now $15. Such multi-denomination use of a single precious metal planchet would never occur in coinage intended for circulation.

$200 is good price on Red Lunar Lotus's case? lol.

I actually have 3 red lunar lotus cases in my hands now.

One case was free when I purchases coins from a friend.

Other 2 cases I bought from ebay for $200 each. But later found seller is also CCF's member. lol

Yes
by yourself you told that you bought it for this price.
And probably you bought them period ago.
Unlike the coins, which circulate from one owner to another, these boxes one-by-one come to the collector's hands, that store in it the coins.

The issue with them:
or you will have a luck to find it for $200, or there just no offers.

Very interesting, several people on the other forum don't believe the ghost bride is hot. Yet both west Edmonton coin & J&M coin have raised their prices to $35.00. J&M coin have a limit of 2, with only 4 left after 1 day of sales. I would imagine the Banff Spring hotel have a large order for the coming tourist season. It will be interesting to watch how things progress with this series. I do feel the other images are far superior to the ghost bride. I like the other images much better. These will make nice tourist keep sakes for the summer holidays. I did get a couple in clamshells for my collection. After all it's a small investment compared to 1 Oz silver coins.

I don't believe the current "demand" for the coin is being driven by collectors looking for a single coin to add to their collection. I believe it is the result of folks buying into the current hype over the coin and buying multiples for resale.

While the coin may be experiencing a slight bump in selling price at the moment, I don't believe it will be long lasting. Looking at ebay, with one exception, the selling prices for the coin are nothing to get excited about.

Time will tell, of course, but I wouldn't buy this one with expectations of great returns in the future. Personally, I didn't buy any of them - but it isn't the type of coin I generally buy anyway.

Just my opinion, your mileage may vary.
