I'm keeping every "gem" example of colourized Canadian quarters that comes my way. I think toonies ($2) will find their way into most collections, it's just a matter of time until they catch on. ;) Silver dollars are pretty huge now, so just imagine what toonies will offer. I hate having to roll up my nickel and copper toonies just to make a $50 bill. Just think how short the run was from 1996-2012, and not all years had circulating toonies.

In fifty years there might be no coins at all, but the mintages are so high I doubt we'll regret spending any.

I've still got the first coins I started collecting with. yes I've seen many, many coins in change I could have, should have, might have saved. But then I'd have to have virtually millions and millions of dollars worth of coins since I'd have saved everyone I ever had.
