Not sure if it's double struck but I think it's a broken collar hence the start of a Cud on the bottom rim of the obverse

I see no evidence of a double strike. I think what you are looking at are the two steps on the rim of the coin (correct me if a I am wrong). The inner lower part of the rim is the design rim and is on the outer edge of the die. So it is part of the die itself, either the hammer or anvil die whichever one struck this side. The outer step on the rim is metal that flowed up between the die neck and the collar. This is called finning and is usually associated with a stronger strike. The extra pressure forces the metal out against the collar and then the metal flows up going slightly past the die edge. Then the extra metal below Lincoln is where the design rim has chipped or eroded away. This is called a rim Cud. It is from the anvil or hammer die and is not from the collar. Finning of this amount is common and carries no extra value. Rim Cuds can easily be found and do not bring much in value. But I would keep this as a reference piece for the future.

I am having trouble understanding what you mean about the columns.Column 1 has split plating.Obverse has a real nice rim Cud and is a keeper. If it was mine I would take a well used toothbrush and lightly clean the obverse and reverse. When dry put in a 2x2.

Pyrbob is correct. You've got a rim Cud and a low fin.
