@ lucv13 it's one marvellous looking case. I will definitely need to get some of these cases. I like to have a quality presentation. I feel it adds value to the coins, and is certainly stunning to look at. It was a deciding factor to me subscribing to 2013 half ounce O Canada series and this years 1 Oz O Canada series. I'm very impressed with the 1 Oz I Canada cases, like the color and quality, I even bought a couple I found on ebay. I feel a beautiful series lacking a nice wooden case, is like framing a Picasso in a $30 Walmart frame. I just cheapens the whole effect.

Quote: That exactly what I am doing, while having the same box as Lucv has. I just found out the $79 case(60 coin) at Colonial Acres is the Lighthouse case so I ordered it. I checked around and it seemed like a fair price. Thanks for sharing your pics lucv13 !

@Silveroid or Dcadon,just wondering what you did with the COA's when you moved your coins from the RCM clam shell cases to the Lighthouse case ? Leave it in the clam shell case or is there a space in the Lighthouse case to put them ?

NO, my COA's are still in their own clam-shells - in the attic. I've recorded the details (numbers etc) onto my collecting software so I have it if ever questioned. If I ever pass on my collection, it'll be the benefactor's chore to do with them what they want. Match them up again or whatever.
(I collect coins - not COA's)

@sherwooddavid
Yes it is the same display, I actually bought it used on one of Colonial's sales for $35. It's perfect for Silver dollars Since there was no "Silver"Dollar in 68, 69 or 70 I have 3 empty spaces for a some of the variant dollar coins I haven't yet acquired.
I should also mention that it has a felt bottom which prevents scratching any surface the case is placed on.

@Dcadon (or others)
I'm curious to know what collecting software you're using? I'm still with Excel sheets... does the job but no pics and all.
Thanks.

If the coin has been moved to the box, that has space for COA (like O Canada boxes) - COA moved with the coin).

The coin is on the Mint's website (for MC members) but still nothing from my rep about it. Very odd.

Even more incredible CC, is that I ordered one from the mint's site two days ago (thanks to mts' tip off on this thread) and it arrived today (no prior notification and now it shows as "Shipped" on my Order History)!
I really like the coin and the box is also very well done.
Also makes me think that the new (old) Ottawa CFL team should have been called the "Bighorns" instead of the ridiculous Redblacks.

First Ottawa 'home' game is tomorrow in Regina. Would have preferred it was Roughriders against Rough Riders but that was then and this is now. Go Redblacks!

Tipit: I've been using 'Coin Manage' http://www.libertystreet.com/canadi...software.htmit works well, and once you get to know it, you can manipulate the database in a number of ways, including adding coins from other countries and denominations etc.
