That's a cray hoard! I would probably need 5 years to only sort and grade them...

One would think a coin dealer like this seller would have already gone through these coins, would you leave 300,000 on the table?

I'm sort of a pessimist. I'd assume they've all be gone through over and over. Possibly could be a pile of stuff from a coin shop that are all left overs or something.

I don't want to own them or stick them in albums but I would like to see and hold coins that I've never seen before.
Perhaps it's a cataloguing project that they would like to offer to volunteers from CCF ?

I would not mind having the opportunity to look through all of it just one time.

To me it looks like it was a part of a slightly larger picked through hoard. For a collection that big the shown coins are not that impressive and most look circulated, german marks only a few high grade coins shown. I would think someone with 195k can make a less risky purchase. The Stack's New York logo on most of of coins shown in 2x2 /flips makes me assume this is a partial of the new york hoard? stuff that wont get graded, foreign and junk/scrap silver or odd or less collectable sets. I am not a pro just my opinion.

Wowser. I would not mind getting a hoard like that through inheritance or an estate buyout of maybe 100k or less, if I had the funds.

Interesting to see all the positive comments. This collection has zero interest for me.

For me the fun would be in sorting out the coins I wanted to keep for my own collection and parting out the rest on ebay.......it would be interesting to see what you could get for them selling them one by one. Would take a day or two for sure
