Looks like the specs are in for the Kennedy anniversary halves: http://www.coinworld.com/news/unite...y-half-.html4 coin silver set comprising of: P-proof W-reverse proof S-enhanced uncirculated D-uncirculated (silver) 2 coin clad set P-uncirculated D-uncirculated (not sure how these will be different from the coins in the 2014 mint set, bags & rolls? Dual date maybe?) [Edit-I guess I should actually read the article carefully! ALL seven coins are to minted in high relief.] .9999 gold Dual date half about 3/4 oz. The two coin set and the gold coin to be first offered at the ANA World of Money show in Chicago in August. Let the frenzy begin. Edited by Bizybackson 06/11/2014 1:29 pm

Last year the people waiting was unbelievable! The line went out the door of the Center. They were buying the gold Buffalo, I believe.

The only question is whether or not I can afford it.

I like that the gold coin is dual dated. At least that will cut down on plated coins. No mention of mintage limits yet?

Anyone want to venture and guess the price for each sets and the gold coin?

This would be a great way to say good bye to the Half Dollar. End it on a high note!

That would be a nice sendoff. But the mint won't stop making Kennedy half dollars. They are too popular with collectors. I got to have that silver set. It sounds really nice. Kind of a variation of the 2011 25th anniversary ASE set. I sure hope it doesn't cost as much as that set.

We won't know the specifics until the Mint releases the details. Total mintage (vs. mint to demand) and household order limits will be the biggies....oh...and price

Interestingly, the article says the two-coin 2014 50th Anniversary Kennedy half dollar Uncirculated Coin set will go on sale starting on July 24. It also says the four-coin 2014 50th Anniversary Kennedy half dollar Silver Coin Collection set & the Single .9999 fine gold Kennedy half dollar Proof coin will be offered Aug. 5 to 9 during the American Numismatic Association World's Fair of Money. I think (hope) the Mint would not have separate start dates to sell these coins, and since the key word "offered" is used for the gold & silver Kennedy coins at the ANAWFoM, they should all go on sale on July 24?

Man, that is a lot of Kennedys for one year. Anyone else wish they were not making the gold Kennedy?
