I just tried to get on the mint website ...36 minute wait.
Is the mint starting to sell these sets today ... If so which sets ... Four coin silver set?

GR58 - The silver set will not be available till the Fall sometime.
I had an 11 minute wait at the Mint's website this morning. Ordered 5 of the $10 sets. Still debating whether to get the gold Kennedy next month. The date has been announced for 08-05-2014.

Got our order in!  We decided to get the 'Teddy' Coin and Chronicles set as well. Looks pretty nice. |

All right, I ordered three sets, just for the heck of it. I plan to order one silver set and one gold coin when they become available.

Interesting... on my tablet both IE and Firefox had problems on - not getting in but completing the setup screens.
IE on my Galaxy S4 with the mobile browser had no issues. In order and done...except for the backlog.

WOW. I checked the $9.95 Kennedy clad set this evening on the Mint's website and it is now saying the set is back-ordered till September 6, 2014.

I personally don't see any advantage to getting them first so I waited until the crowd cleared and placed a hassle-free order a few minutes ago. I'll have them in 6 weeks.

The Anniversary coins are minted to demand, not like the BHOF with its previously announced mintage limits. Only reason to queue up this morning was if you were going to submit these sets in unopened Mint boxes for an ER or FS label. The Mint smartened up on these Anniversary coins, IMO, by staggering the release dates and putting out the least important set out first to get a feel for the later gold and silver set sales. If they have 40K clad sets to ship out now obviously they underestimated demand for the clad set. 40,000 is also what's available for the gold half dollar and it will take a couple of weeks to deplete. The reverse Buffalo ended up over 47K and oversaturating the market. Starting with 15,000 on hand is a more reasonable quantity and has the feel of limited "special" mintage. Otherwise it seems to be an overpriced bullion coin.

I'm rather late to this party and have not read the thread so I'll take the heat for asking a question that has probably been asked and answered many times.
First I'm assuming that you all are talking about the 50th Anniversary Kennedy Half-Dollar Uncirculated Coin Set and if so is this set being minted to order or is there a limited quantity being offered.
I know that there is a limit of 5 per household
