Ok so I was going threw my coins and found this 1950's Wheat cent. I say 1950's because I can not see the last number in the date. It seems like all the damage is not PMD. It looks like a layer is peeling off of it. Also all the scratches and what not look like they were done in factory and not PMD. I should be getting my magnifying glass soon so I can take closer pictures. Untill then I can only take pictures on my phone since everything was ruined in my condo fire. So just let me know what you think. I do appreciate every bit of info. Thank you.

I can see how all the scratches look like PMD but the line in the middle looks to me like there is a layer coming up. I hope I can get better pictures soon. Thank you very much for replying I do appreciate it. Thanks

It is possible that your coin has a severe lamination issue, flaws in the alloy that cause peeling layers of metal to separate from the planchet. Larger pictures of both sides could confirm it.

The line in the middle looks like lamination. The rest looks like PMD

And a nice lamination issue also. To bad about the PMD.

A larger image of the obverse would be great. I make my images in the 600-1000 width range. If makes it wear to tell what is going on with a coin. Anything larger is over kill and less leaves us in wonder of what is going on with the coin in question.

I just order a magnifying glass online o I can try and get better pictures. I am hoping it will be in very soon. As soon as I get it I will most certainly take better pictures and post them. Thank you so much to everyone that took the time to reply to my post. I do greatly appreciate every bit of info I can get. That way I do not have to bother everyone with every coin. So I can eventually be able to tell these type of things myself. Thank you everyone.
