Well fellas now that we have bigger images I think it's real. The RDM on the truncation of the portrait has slid towards the missing region of the coin (well spotted the-purple-penny), the top line of the Z is noticeably thinned due to radial metal flow, and there's noticeable tapering of the rims near the missing regions of the coin.

As to the curve not being a pure curve, well they often are not. You'll find that the the flat parts of the coin (the fields) flow outwards to fill the clipped area faster than the points of high relief. Presumably because more of the metal flows to fill the die rather than flowing outwards. And this is exactly what I am seeing here.

Thanks Mark. .
I am new and from this coin I have learnt heaps of tell tail signs for future purchase... the blakleys effect.. The fish tails of the lettering... the rim being bent over near the clip.. aswell as the fields flowing while under pressure in the minting press oh and the marks on the opposite side..
I am so glad now joining this and other fourms. .
Thanks guys...
Cheers paul

Who's embarrassed now?

Just got my second shipment back from APCGS and am again quite happy. It's quite obvious to me who has the agenda.

Of course you're happy.

They have no idea how to grade so you can flog off coins at far more than they are worth.

Just like NNC graded coins in the USA.

Why would I feel "Embarrassed" until I see a quality image of this coin I am not convinced of its genuinely.
I treat EVERY coin slabbed by APCGS with a healthy Suspicion and so do 99% of educated collectors.
APCGS has become synonymous with dodgy and dishonest dealers within the Collector community that prey on the uninformed and the stupid.
I personally will have NO coin of mine graded by this Mob EVER.

This seller/Member obviously has access to Bluesheet and its reflected in the buy it now pricing.
The bluesheet pricing however is based upon PCGS/NGC graded coins and not This APCGS Crap.
The agenda of some members here is to Promote APCGS as an equivalent grading company as PCGS/NGC and rip unsuspecting collectors off with the inferior grading standards of APCGS.

Are we talking Age or Ethics here?
As far as age goes I haven't had the need for a play lunch for many decades.
As far as ethics go, YES you DO need to listen to what your peers are saying to you
We can all be "Keyboard commandoes" BUT it is our actions NOT our words that decide who we are and the value of our reputations.
From what I can see YOU are in need of a "Play Lunch" to take time to reflect on your actions and posts on this thread.
Like I stated in a previous post "Please don't let the flyscreen door hit you on the bum as you leave the building. "

Still going, their website is regularly updated. At least they don't have the "MS-45" coins proudly displayed there anymore.

The name isn't all they've stolen from PCGS. They've still got the cut-and-pasted (though slightly redefined) "Grade Scale" they've had up on their website for a while now.

it might be better for them to shut down for a while and open up again at a later date under a new name that does not look like a PCGS A RIPP OFF , until the stigma/bad vibe wears off
