Shouldn't the S be more prominent?

I check the Wexler site and noted that all the examples he posted were from LDS/VLDS die example coins. The coin in this post appears to be VLDS die example. I would think there should be some examples from earlier die states if this is an actual over mint mark variety. So I would need to see these examples in order to decide if these are D/S OMMs? Were these actual mint mark punches or Die Deterioration?

it is 1955-D 5¢ WOMM-002 and not the more well known 1955-D 5¢ WOMM-001 or fs-501 from cpg

Description: D/S

Die Markers: Obverse: Several die scratches run from north to south to the left of the nose, lips, and chin. Reverse: Several die scratches WSW to ENE below the E PL of EPU. Short, horizontal die scratches can be found above the left end of the roof. Other die scratches can be found throughout the reverse.

Cross References: CONECA: OMM #2

Was just updating picture it was already authenticated by expert at FUN show the next day after I originally posted that in Orlando..

whether it is or not is no longer a question..

there are a lot of controversial coins like that 1957-D Washington quarter Misplaced MM CPG FS-501 is it really a miss placed mint mark .. I don't think so .. but I still got one... its all about the hunt..

I had people say the 1985-D yellow jackets are a science experiment..good thing I still have them..

but I enjoy the comments and feedback anyway.. I understand most D/S are a subject of question..

I just find the varieties in the books stick them into 2x2 is that
