I love finding these I have found a bunch 1 at a time this was a 1st... There must be a lot still out there. This morning at a flea market I picked the up for double face or $8 got 2 rolls of 1959-P BU Jefferson nickels with a couple nice Black Beauties in them..I also found a bunch of bu rolls of 43s,56d,58d,55d,57d,63d for $4 a rolls.. OcalaFlorida Pillar of the Community United States 2824 Posts	Posted 07/13/2014 7:46 pm I use my ngc sample one to compare the top one is normal I got 78 in two rolls each roll was one short. 55 are like the normal top one - shiney silver 23 are like the surrounding ones - I believe they ranges in color from grey to charcoal black. Indian1 Pillar of the Community United States 3640 Posts	Posted 07/13/2014 11:53 pm The one at 6 o'clock looks good. Is the color uniform all the way around the outside edge of the rim ? Should be slightly darker than both the obverse and reverse. Also, both the obv. and rev. colors should be uniform. Yes, they should be a dark gunmetal gray color. They have a certain hue about them also. The color goes all the way through the coin/planchet. I always check for any small nicks,gouges or scratches etc. to see if the color runs deep into them. I have purposely scratched up darker nickels just to check the color underneath. More times than not (many more) the nickels are just darker from environmental damage etc. Tough coin to attribute properly without damaging it. Unless they now use a metal analyzer. OcalaFlorida Pillar of the Community United States 2824 Posts	Posted 07/14/2014 09:00 am Indian1 thanks for the info I look into that of 6 are a exact match to my graded one in hue being the 6'oclock and have uniform color in bag markers they are uncirculated but still enough minor hits to look under microscope.
