i made this a while ago and thought you might like to see.
i took a damaged half dollar and lightly tapped all around the outside edge about a million times with I small tack hammer then drilled a small hole and cut the center out using a wire edm machine at work to minimize waste, I then polished it up and there it is

This is my ring made from a 1944 50 cent piece. The inside is getting worn from use but the outside still looks good.
I wish I could say I made it but I didn't.

yes that is the other style where it is formed on a mandrel with one side of the coin is in the inside and the other side is on the outside, whereas the one I made has both the reverse and obverse on the inside
