Well it I don't think it's fake because it is real gold, correct me if I'm wrong. if it is a reproduction do you have an estimate on how much its worth? (Approx.)

Well the coin maybe gold plated, but I don't know of a Valentinian I with a mint mark of KONST? It should be KONSTAN. I also believe it's a copy.

Where was this found? Was it dug up somewhere?

Here is an example of this coin if it helps you in determining authenticity. The fact that it has some graffiti on the reverse may indicate it's real, but the blob on the labarum staff Valentinian holds on the reverse and the form of the AE on the end of REIPVBLICAE on the reverse legend are troubling to me.

The mint mark is consistent with the example from Wildwinds.

Whether the coin is authentic or not is another matter.

Taking another look at the Wildwinds coin the "blob" on the labarum staff may be the branch on the staff on the Wildwinds example.

Quite a hard one to call from pics alone. My first thoughts are that it doesn't look like an original. It has very soft detail. Better pics, weight, dimension and probably a gravity result would be good.

The pic is blurry but it's probable that the solidus is just worn and not fake.

With the better photos I would also agree that it is an authentic solidus.

The AE on the end of REIPVBLICAE still looks funky to me, but that could be the work of the particular celator who cut the die.

OK, it's a legit MM. Glad to see Ras comment on this one. If he says it's legit that's good enough for me.
