My best guess would be a later issue from the Byzantine empire the eastern part of the former Roman Empire. Part from that I have nothing. If you could weigh it and provide a diameter of the coin I am absolutely certain someone here will be able to help you identify it and determine wether it is real or fake. Also a picture of the other side of the coin would help confirm its attribution. Report this Post to the Staff

Like this one: The legend is too regular for a Roman coin IMHO. As omf says, diameter (mm) and if possible weight (g) would help. Report this Post to the Staff
