Ok, I said I was going to do it. Id like to see other collectors proofs. I love them and I cant be the only one that has them. I'm going back through other posts to see what I have already shown you. I'm sure you dont want to see them again.

I love, love, LOVE proof coins. Can't get enough of them. I have entire rolls of proof Ikes and Kennedys just because I like to look at them.

I've recently started picking up some more valuable examples and hope to continue the trend in the future. They do tend to get a bit expensive, however...

Anyway, here is a sampling:

I don't exactly have 10 grand to spend on an 1898 PR-67 Barber half, but they're beautiful to look at!

Barryg, fantastic coins. 98percent of my coins were my grandfathers. Your proof morgan (1900) is great. I have one in pr55 same year. The 84cc is great too. I love Morgan dollars. And I dont know what they cost and dont care. I've seen $15 proofs I would buy for there beauty.

True, that! You'll notice I didn't include one when I listed my proof coins. I'm thinking someday I might afford a lesser example, but even then we are talking upwards of $2000.

Glad you like it! It does look better in hand, but I do wish I could have afforded a higher grade that really shined. PR-67 would be awesome, but then I'd have to sell my house...

This one on my grandfather had in a plastic coin flip inside an old bank envelope. When I first found it, something just didnt look right about it. I put it to the side as a common, used morgan. When I decided to being a few coins to my local coin shop, on my way out I picked it up and put it in my pocket. I asked the shop owner if it looked right. He got kind of excited and said "wow, this is a proof". He told me they were rarer then the regular morgans as there was only a few hundred minted for each date. Believe it or not, that was the day I started appreciating proofs. Before that, I really didnt care.

Thank you. I have a passion for morgans just as my granfather did. He use to come over when we were little and throw them all over the floor. My brothers and I would scramble to pick them up and put them in these giant, porcelain piggy banks the size of real ones. My brothers have both broke theirs but I still have mine. Jeez, maybe I should take a hammer to it and see whats inside
