Does anyone know of a more complete price guide for specimen coins? For example, coins that do not reach the SP63 grade. I found large specimen cent on ebay that that grades AU and can not find a value for it. Thank you for any info.

Who graded it ? Specimens appear so infrequent as they are extremely rare the prices in many cases aren't established.

They only grade to SP-63 max. Nothing to lesser grades.

Hi Don- What year is your coin? Specimen Proofs were only issued in certain years. It is rare for a SP to be less than a 62 or 63 as they were not produced for circulation. There has to be be a minimum amount of a particular grade of coin assigned to a TPG company before they will issue it a grade.

That is a business strike coin, not a Specimen.

Where does it indicate that this is a specimen strike? It is a business strike that because of the wear to the jewels on the crown and the ribbon on the shoulder I would grade a VF30 in MYO
