SeatedNut Pillar of the Community United States 2797 Posts	Posted 08/21/2007 07:42 am I'm not much into note collecting, but I was rummaging through the collection last night I came across some $1 Silver Certificates I put away back in the 60's/70's. They were all series 1957, blue seal, and one was a star note. The note is single folded (not much of a crease) but otherwise crisp. Any note experts care to clue me in on the value? Also, what is the serial number on the notes as that plays into the price. The star note should be worth more than the other $1 silver certs since it is a replacement note. My old one has the following: Signature of Priest & Anderson (1957) VG 2.50 for either, F 2.75 normal ,3.00 for a star note Signature of Smith & Dillion (1957A) same as above Signature of Granahan & Dillion (1957B) same as above On the higher end the normal notes are worth $8 at CU, and star notes worth $12.
