I agree with you Lostwords, and I did the same.

These toonies can make neat little gifts too.

And folks, don't tell Anjohl but these coins are really $2 for $2 and the banks won't take them.

That's interesting point.
Usually, if we speak XXforXX we refer to the silver coins, but actually circulation exist.....and they are very nice collectibles.

Btw, I expect the rim of this Toonie will not be in the best shape same as the War of 1812 $2.

I ordered mine earlier - hopefully I'll get a few decent examples. I agree that it's great the mint does this with the commemoratives, but it's not out of the goodness of their hearts, clearly the marketing must work to sell other items, even if it doesn't with me.

I find that these packs usually sell for double on the secondary market once they're all sold out from the Mint. Not a bad deal if you ask me.

I ordered mine as well today.

They look great and can't wait to get them!

If these show as much detain as the Shannon $2 coin it will be a very nice coin.

I'm glad people post when these coins are available, otherwise I'd miss out. I tend to forget to check the circulation coins. I've got my max order placed. Too bad they don't allow more to be ordered.

Hello Everyone! Thanks for all your great questions and answers on this site, I just joined so I can now participate in the conversations.

I just ordered my 3 packages of the new toonie coin, but does anyone know how I would get a roll of these? WOuld those be available from the RCM site too in the future ?

Thanks!

Welcome @Jakk Daniels.
I don't think the RCM sell $2 dollar rolls except the 50 cents roll, you would do better at your local BANK.

There will be coin exchanges later this month. The three boutiques will be on the weekend of October 17th and FCP on Oct 24th and there might be other locations too.

If you live in a larger city, check the mint website in the next two weeks for a location near you.

They sometimes will exchange for rolls. It's hit and miss though.
