I have two of the same dates and want to know the grades so I know if they worth a lot more then melt.

I see MS ones are worth some good amounts.

Assuming they are MS (hard to tell high AU from MS without having it in hand . . . at least for me anyway) number two looks to me 61-62. Lots and lots of little marks and hits. Maybe cleaned, but I wish to hear other opinions.
I don't think number one would grade. That scratch could hardly be in a worse place.

Definite wear I see, AU-53 and XF-45.

XF45. I wouldn't call it AU due to the flatness of the wing tips & Washington's wig blends into his face behind the eyes. Still a great coin.

Of interest, you do have two different mint mark varieties.

XF and low XF.

That is an area that I have not studied much. Good point. Apparently I could use some schooling on picking up AU vs MS.
I usually look at breast feathers, ear curl and legs.
