1942 S Washington Quarter - Grade Please

Jon K Pillar of the Community United States 723 Posts	Posted 09/17/2014 01:15 am Assuming they are MS (hard to tell high AU from MS without having it in hand . . . at least for me anyway) number two looks to me 61-62. Lots and lots of little marks and hits. Maybe cleaned, but I wish to hear other opinions. I don't think number one would grade. That scratch could hardly be in a worse place. I wouldn't call it AU due to the flatness of the wing tips & Washington's wig blends into his face behind the eyes. Still a great coin.
