SPP-Ottawa Moderator Canada 10463 Posts	Posted 09/20/2014 6:24 pm I had a friend just inform me that the 1985 New Zealand mule nickel dollar just sold for a $10,000 hammer price... for an AU grade strike!! That is more than double for a recent mint state example that sold at the 2012 RCNA. http://www.icollector.com/1985-1-Ne...ve_i13099523 My bet is that a certain error collector who live in eastern BC, who hoards these things, was the aggressive bidder on this one. An AU grade simply is not worth that kind of money... in my opinion....
