I would be happy with the 1995 West Point proof ASE 10th anniversary (including the gold coins) to wholly complete my ASE set -simple. :-)

Well for me a nice complete set of Canada 50 cents would be nice, from 1870-1967 Every Single Year. And of coarse maybe a 1911 dollar if any are available.

1). An aureus set of the 12 Caesars. Add a couple of Egyptian Octadrachms You can also add a Brasher Doubloon to that!
or how 'bout: 2). A set of pattern Australian square pennies and half pennies in silver?
3). A pair of U.S. octagonal and round $50 gold pieces. I have had a pair of those actually sitting in the palm of my hands. Four ounces of gold.
All of these coins are far from the most valuable coins in numismatics.

1-Complete Sheldon Set - VF or better on the ones that can be had in that condition. 2-A super nice Cohen Set of Half Cents. 3-As many pattern coins as I could collect by Judd number. Alas, I am but a common man with simple means, so this is out of reach. Instead I do the same with books and auction catalogs, the next best thing I suppose. P.S. I guess I would have to include what I'm working towards - a complete set of Two Cent Pieces by die marriage, each date, each die pairing, 1864-1873, then after that was complete I would add in all the known patterns and trial pieces, plus the major errors as well. Oh to win a Super Lotto!

I obviously dream small! By which I mean I generally only have one (or maybe two) coins on my 'wants list' at a time. Right now I'd like a better example of this Charles I shilling than this one: A nice coin here, an upgrade there ... and maybe in time all the coins in my collection will give me the nice warm glow that currently only the best do ... at which point, I guess I'll have my dream collection! Sadly (?) for the most part it's not money that holds me back but simple availability. Better grade coins are scarcer and I'm getting more demanding with time, so finding one that I really like is a challenge. But then, if it was easy I guess those little steps towards 'perfection' wouldn't be so satisfying! .
