There is only one single original example known of this coin, and it was found 165 years ago. The proof of your coin's inauthenticity is in the shown legend "1C LM", for "1 Cent, Lawful Money." Unfortunately, it should read "1d LM", "d" being the British designation for a Penny. The term "Cent" was not in use then. Report this Post to the Staff
