Quote:A rare proof only date. This one is from the second period of re-strikes as the die was heavily rusted. 1827/3 25C Restrike PR66 Wow!

I believe this is the first Norweb I've posted. This beautiful proof cameo half dollar comes from a mintage of only 8 coins. That's right, only 8 coins were minted. 1827 50C, PR66CA Pedigree: Norweb PCGS Cert PageLarge TrueView Image

Is this the first Simpson pedigree I've posted? I'm not sure. I own one coin with a Simpson pedigree that does have a TrueView image but it will be quite a will until I'll be posting that one (1890 proof dime). But if you take a look at Legend's banner you can get a sneak peek at it. Since the Simpson pedigree is one that is still ongoing and a lot of people know about him I'm fairly sure there will be quite a few more of his coins showing up in this thread. You may know of Bob Simpson who is the Co-Chairman of the Texas Rangers from the recent Sunnywood/Simpson Morgan dollar auction. 1827 50C Square Base 2, MS66 Pedigree: Simpson PCGS Cert PageLarge TrueView Image
