Here's a bunch that I've pulled from circulation recently. Very shiny I'm not sure how they got back into circulation but they were resting somewhere for a while. From left to right 59d, 60, 60d, 61, 62, 63, 63d, 64, 68 and a 73.

In a recent box I had a lot of 82, 83 and 84's that were like that. It's fun to think about how it happens.

That's kind of odd, about a year ago I ran into the same thing from a local bank, very new looking shiny cents with dates from 1959 to 1963 both P and D. I always wondered what the story was behind them.

Not to uncommon lately. Not sure why but I've heard from people they had accumulated rolls of coins for a long time and recently just dumped them into a bank. Some just don't want to bother trying to sell something for a few cents extra so they just dump into a bank. Some people save all their change in jars, cans, boxes, etc. and then dump them all in a bank. Every once in a while you'll hear someone say how they found a mess of old coins that look new. Might be the reason.

Years back an older lady came into a store I was working at with rolls of dimes to make a purchase. I noticed that they were older and silver and told her so. She said she didn't want to be bothered with selling them so I took them for the purchase. My manager at the time pulled rank on me and bought them out before I could! I still hate that guy!

I will try and take a closer look for the best ones and post some better close ups when I get my photo technique down.
