Hopefully you will see it when you are at home, Silveroid. And nope, I wouldn't try to remove that bubble wrap under Miss Kitty unless I was wearing very thick gloves.

@ Silveroid I absolutely love the stunning pics you've posted!! Your black Persian reminds me so much of my orange Persian I had for 15 yrs. Then her replacement a blue Persian, I couldn't keep. So I'm on my 3rd cat, also a Persian Willow's son Kittkat, he loves to sleep in the middle of my packing boxes from RCM /P.O., it bugs me to no end. He makes working with coins tough. He just plops down in the middle. I will post my pics later of kittkat. Your high relief coin it's stunning and fierce! I wouldn't want that kitty as a pet. Persians are so very mild mannered. The expression on both cats is amazing! @'Yup, I just found both 2014/2015 frational sets for $388 Cad & $355 USD over at colonial. I'm now thinking of returning this set and grabbing the ones at colonial. I've wanted to get the 2014 set for awhile now. I hear you big time regarding silver & gold pricing. I've vowed to myself to buy less, and to wait for discounted prices. Our post office will have another Black Friday sale, last yr was 15% off. It helps lessen the pain when prices fall more. My ebay sales have really slowed the past month. This is usually when I do well! I do find curtailing purchases hard, it's like an addiction for me. I've got to get a couple things each month!! I'm taking baby steps on stopping purchasing. I must say when I had my Arabian horses, there was a one way money pit. Since my ability to walk has lessened past 2 yrs, I've switched to coin collecting. In 2012 when I started collecting silver, I was all over the map. During the last yr with the help of this forum, I'm more focused. It's no longer the shotgun approach. I've separated into roughly 4-5 different areas. This a great thread; with the photos and sharing, I'm enjoying each post Immensely . I look forward to more!

@pocket change 50 I gotta say again, that red enamel maple leaf is reallllly nice. I been stalking it on ebay.... I am interested to see how below the RCM price it comes too... Yea, I been MOSTLY been hunting Somalian elephant coins and thats it... others I been stalking for deals, like the Piedfort coin,, I love the design but I dont want and will not pay up. I am looking for mid to high 50s and thats it as an example. Hey I know it is hard. Look, I LIKE silver and gold coins. There a lot of silver and gold coins I really want. But I have had to apply the same discipline and emotional detachment that I use in work into coin collecting. I know prices are going down... so I have to stick to it. So, to keep it simple,, I just stick to the Somalian elephants as my treat.. and other coins I really just stalk and patiently wait for the best deals I can get because I KNOW I will get a good deal. My dad had a friend that had Arabian horses and another that had horses as a hobby... and I KNOW thats an expensive past time lol Man... I can imagine what you were spending on just the basics alone! So you sell on ebay, am I understanding this correctly,, in terms of coins? I too am and have enjoyed this forum. I really love the commentary from Silveroid... he is always so helpful and I gotta say his insight on coins from the RCM is pretty good. All you canadian guys been so helpful here and I gotta say, while I do not and will not pay RCM prices,,,, I love everyone talking about the various coins and I learn so much and I learn about coins coming out....I mean its great here!

Thank you, guys, for a good words.
What I really hope, on the 4-th year of NCLT collecting, finally I learned how not to buy absolutely every item, that I like :)

Hi yup, I hear you loud and clear! It's your encouraging posts regarding silver spot that is helping me kick the habit of buying mint direct or paying full price. I've always been a person who sought value for my $$. My mom grew up during the depression. While my grandmother and her father immigrated from Poland for a chance for a better life, leaving the rest of their family behind cause they couldn't afford the passage. They homesteaded in Alberta and the 1/4 section is still in the family. So I'm very value conscientious. It's a hard habit to break, especially once they give you a rep. The more I read about the elephants the more intrigued I am. I can see me adding a few later in the yr. I was looking at some a few days ago. Included in the sellers description they'd put there's an elephant sanctuary. I find amazing to have a sanctuary of elephants in North America!! I plan to read up on it. I enjoy your posts and as they're very practical and informative. I hope you keep posting in the Canada forum.'maybe one day you can post pics of the elephants - letting us know where to look. I'd love to see images of your elephant collection!! I'm returning my fractional set, I will get one later at a discount!g I've got a medical trip on dec.1 so it wasn't expected. I have to attend, if I want my hip surgery!! Colonial acres has the 2014&2015 fractional sets for $388. I do like both sets and I'm expecting a delayed tax refund. It's frustrating I been waiting since August. I do sell coins on ebay I only sell 10-20 monthly but usually for large dollar amounts. I use the proceeds to buy other coins. In the two years I've been selling I've never transferred any money to my bank account. Sales have been very slow in nov. my last sale was nov. 9 for about $3. It's mainly for something to do while I'm housebound. I've met many interesting people through selling and buying on ebay . @'Silveroid for only 4 years collecting Nclt coins you're very wise and informed. I also am enjoying reading your well thought out posts. keep the posts coming!! I too love the O Canada box with the lynx, it's very striking. I know now what to do with my spare box.

@Pocketchange 50, here is a shot of my elephants from the past two years, I see some spotting on the 2015, may have to return, but the images on the coins are quite striking. Love the Pandas, Kooks and Koalas as well. Very affordable bullion coins to collect. Don't mean to hijack the thread but someone mentioned elephants.
Got this yesterday as well, not sure if it was released in Nov.

@pocket change 50. I know of this addiction you speak of! I feel the same way. Agree that I will also be waiting for discounted prices. Also cutting back on what I buy as well.

@'silver don a very nice bullion collection, the images presented are as satisfying as the Nclt coins, and at a way better price. I'm fairly new to bullion coins, just got about 25 coins first week of nov. I have the anniversary maple all 3 varieties/ birds of prey/ 3/4 Oz wolves / zombucks feast dollar & murk diem. I find the designs just as satisfying and cheaper to. I'm mainly concerned with the quality of images. I truly appreciate your posting the images. I also like your display box, what are you using?

Quote: I didn't want to take the coins out of the airtites. But why didn't you put them into air-tites? The coins that comes in tubes without capsules..... Imo, in the airtite, all the set will have "clear" look. And the quadrums not hermetic at all....

I agree Silveroid, the holes on the O' Canada 1/2 ounce 2013 Box hold a 38 mm coin or a 34 mm coin in an airtite. I was laying the bullion out to see what it looked like. Tonight I was trying it without the quadrums and airtites. I agree as well that the quadrums are not always the best for coin protection. Sometimes for bullion I use what I have on hand. The 1.5 ounce coins are quite flush with the top of the hole, kind of hard to get the coins out.
But I definitely like the presentation and you can swap coins depending on the theme you want to portray. Maple Leafs, animals, Privy's, or any 34 mm coin in an airtite.
