Hello; just starting out and wondering if this might be graded at xf? I made my intro post and thought I would post this to see if I'm getting close to figuring out grades:). Thanks for your help.

Something seems a little...off about this coin. Although, it might just be the lighting.

You might want to try pcgs.com/photograde to compare. I think this is an AU 50.

Hope it's the lighting. I had it under a magnifying glass with lights. I definitely will have to practice picture taking for these things.

I think it is just the lighting. I'm at AU-50/53 too.

The detail appears to be AU but the surfaces have an unnatural, over-dipped and/or cleaned appearance. Since it's a circulated common date there is little impact on the value of the coin, it does however give one an idea of how lifeless surfaces appear. And welcome to CCF - the best coin forum online. :)

It appears to have been cleaned in the past as the fields tell that story.
Yeah, AU53 Details IMO.
