My order from 12/4 just moved from BACKORDER to ON HOLD. Is that a good or bad thing? Are there any other people out there with 12/4 orders that haven't shipped?

It was on hold for quite awhile. I got a different answer as to why from each person I contacted. Finally talked to someone who said they would remove the hold. After that it showed back order until yesterday when it shipped. My sister placed an order on 12/12 and it said back order. Today it went to on hold. She called the mint and asked about it and was told he would lift the hold, however the item was sold out and she wouldn't get her order. But, like I said, you can't rely on what customer service tells you. |

I ordered mine 12/3 and I called last night they told me they were all out and would be sending out letters to people. She ask me if I wanted to cancel my order or just leave it in case of returns and then I would get mine. I get a different response everytime I talk to them . They really don't have it together on this one .Anyway I got tired of all the aggravation and just ordered 1 on ebay ..which is ashame since a lot of people that ordered on the 4th is getting theirs shipped out. |

How have orders on 12/11 shipped, yet some from 12/3-4 have not? That's crazy. I ordered two on 12/4 and three on 12/11 and both were on backorder, until this morning...on hold again. I don't get it.

Update...my sister's order went from "on hold" this morning to "processing" a bit ago. So maybe it will be shipped soon. For those of you whose orders are on hold, hang in there. They might end up being shipped. I have to admit, I don't put much stock in anything that customer service says or what the order status shows with this set.

Ok, in the time it took me to type and post the update about my sister's order, it went from being processed back to on hold. So from back order to on hold to being processed to on hold again all in a matter of a few hours. Crazy.

My 12/10 order is still "Backorder".
Has not changed, to my knowledge, since I made the order.
I am not holding my breath that I will ever get my order.

The whole deal with this set has caused me nothing but grief The US Mint is the most incompetent company that I've ever dealt with.

...and considering they were getting raves because of the order today and it will ship tomorrow thing they had going....this 12/3-4 thing has become a farce....on hold/backorder/out of stock/backorder/out of stock/processing/backorder/processing That is just one order...lame  |

My order from 12/11/2014 was showing HOLD this morning is now showing BACKORDER too.

Ok, one more change in the order status. Yesterday it was "on hold", then "being processed", then to "on hold", then "back ordered", and now this morning it's "on hold" again. Five changes in 24 hours. I'll tell my sister today to get something else for gifts. She's not going to get her order. I wish they would just cancel those orders that won't be shipped instead of all this game playing. I'm actually shocked that my 12/4 order was shipped. I don't know what, if anything, I'll order from the mint next year, but if it's as much of a hassle as this has been, I'll never order from them again. I'll pay more and get what I want from ebay and avoid the hassle. |

My order is back to BACKORDER today. I think this is the third time my 12/4 order has gone to BACKORDER. I would really love to hear the story behind what is going on with the mint and its new website. Remember how excited everyone was with the Kennedy sets and the quick shipping. That's because they already had too many sets made ready for shipping. They had no idea how well the C&C sets were going to sell. I don't understand how the mint can be so clueless.

My 12/10 order is STILL on "Backorder"... Nothing changed, ever. What is new is that the money I paid for the order is now back in my bank account! I guess I won't be getting my order.  |
