Hello. This is my first experience ordering from the mint so I was hoping to get some insight from people with experience. I got in on this set during one of the previous 'Backorder' windows on the morning of 12/4. Ordered two. Great. Today when I checked the status it said quantity 0 with my total billing cost at 0 except for 4.95 for shipping. I called customer service and to paraphrase, the woman said they are gone and I will be getting nothing, that's why it says 0. Is that how it works in this scenario? No email notification saying sorry, but we ran out? Nothing whatsoever. I might have been waiting a while if I wasn't so impatient and checking the status like every hour since last Thursday. I'm very disappointed because of the obvious result of now not getting even one set, but more so, I feel like I was left hanging, but perhaps that's the way it's done there.

Imagine the chaos if this set was released at a coin show and hyped like the gold Kennedy.

Foxwoods Man, thanks for the welcome. I'm a big fan of this site. After reading your post I realized I must have mistyped. It does still say 'Qty 2'. I was thinking where it says 'Items (0) Subtotal: 0.00'. Oddly enough, I checked again after reading your reply and sure enough, it now says 'ON HOLD'. Maybe I should just give it more time and see. Is that a good sign? Thanks!

I called the mint this morning about my order being in processing and the lady told me that the mint wasn't getting anymore. I ordered mine December 3rd so I guess I'll pick 1 up on ebay.

I just got off the phone with the mint about my order still being "on hold", after it was stated more were expected to be in stock on the 8th. The gentleman I talked to said to wait a couple more days and my order will be processed as soon as they get more in stock. I specifically asked him "so you ARE going to have more of the sets in stock, and he said yes, that's why my order was put on hold. I tend to believe that, as it seems as though they would cancel orders instead of putting them on hold if they weren't going to get more in stock.
