OK, so I have not purchased any coins in many months as my wife and I have been saving for a big purchase which we just payed off. I saw this coin and immediately snatched it up. So quickly in fact that I missed the fact (which was clearly in the description) that it is holed and filled. Oh well, at first I thought I got an incredible bargain but I think I still did alright.

I guess I can't be too choosy with Galba and it is a Big ole' sestertius. Not a bad way to get back into the swing of things.

Galba (A.D. 68 - 69)
Orichalcum Sestertius, A.D. 68, Rome, 36mm, 25.24g, 180°, RIC I, 309, holed and filled.
Obv: IMP SER SVLP GALBA CAES AVG TR P. Laureate, draped bust right.
Rev: LIBERTAS PVBLICA. Libertas standing left, holding pileus and scepter; S C in field.

The hole is in about as unobtrusive a place as you could ask for. It's got a great portrait.

That is one good looking 'Galba'. If you ever want to sell it, see me. I am definitely interested.

And I have never said that to any other member about any other coin.

I like this coin hole and all. The hole isn't in a bad place and was filled nicely. Galba is one that I don't have and I would have snatched this coin also.

A nice coin you got there, with a good rendition of Galba's severe expression. One of my favorite emperor to collect.

Thanks for all the nice comments. I was a little disappointed when I saw the hole after I bought it but once I got the coin in hand, I was really happy with it.

WAY much better than mine. Great portrait, lovely patina. Hole does not matter.

So true, I would be ashamed to show mine in comparison.
