Slamnbass Pillar of the Community United States 3644 Posts	Posted 12/09/2014 12:48 am I know the likely answer but I can't stop looking at this one so I need one of you guys to tell me I can toss it haha-there's no examples out there that I know of with just e pluribus unum doubled so I'm pretty sure it's not but anyway sorry for lighting this is worn a little and best I can do thanks! Connicoins Valued Member United States 118 Posts	Posted 12/09/2014 12:54 am My instincts say it is from a weak die...and yes keep it. As it is a 1982 "rare" coin and the last to be copper. Anything 82 and below is worth keeping...they hold more value and chances are better to find these die errors...I have one just like this one ! TWINS ! Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 12/09/2014 11:31 am The contact mark on the "U" of UNUM catches your eye. But the width of the "U" is not enlarged. It may have had an ejection mark on that device after the strike, but I see no hub doubling present on your coin. Here is one I found with Machine damage (ejection) on the same devices, but I think yours is from contact with other coins. Report this Post to the Staff
