Thanks guys. Is it normal for that type that the centre of the reverse (the N in Cent) wears more than the rest? And what is the current value - approximately?

Because of wear on the laurel wreaths and the extensive wear on the "N" I would grade it at VF15. Value is what you can get for it but probably in the $150- $175 range. (Trend Price)

Wow, didn't expect that it would be worth that much - couldn't find it on NGC.

Weak N resulting from the original strike.
Looks like it might have a two point cross or incomplete cross, above the crown on the reverse.

Quote: Looks like it might have a two point cross or incomplete cross, above the crown on the reverse. Don't really know what that means in regards to this coin, but would like to get enlightened. Here an enlarged scan (to me it looks like the 'incomplete' might be right - whatever it means).

A vf20 can often be found around $100 on ebay. I am not sure about the wear, always wondered that myself on the earlier coins.

Given the wear, I'd say F-15. Nice coin though!

Thank for all replies. Quote: Number three can be found in various stages of completeness. I do understand that 'bellmaker' but are the various varieties (how many are there?) of any significance?
