No idea at all. This one needs a clue to start off with.
I would like to get more of the newer members involved, so I think we need to limit ourselves to more of the identifiable rulers. Or at least with some of the more difficult ones like this one to give a clue at the outset. At least until folks get the hang of the game.

Closer to Rome but not that far from the Sasanids either.
Btw, the other day I wondered if there could be more than one ruler active to be guessed at.
Might reduce the 'dead' periods but on the other hand could be confusing - any thoughts?

One final hint:
The Kingdom of this ruler was a client Kingdom of the Romans and was not long after his reign the place of a major confrontation between the Romans and the Sassanids.

 It's the other half of the coin with the odd Gordian III picture. According to Sear(GIC)#5746 it is Abgar X (242-244) of the Kingdom of Osrhoene (or Edessa). (But a review of the history points to XI as the right number.) Over to you, time to go to bed here. |
