coinlover168 Pillar of the Community United States 506 Posts	Posted 01/15/2015 12:40 am Standard means the regular holder as opposed to secure, which has the PCGS shield symbol on the label and gets specially imaged and archived so that they can identify the coin even if out of the holder. This is done just in case it is stolen and resubmitted. It is required on coins above $50,000 but you can request it on any coin for an extra $5. Absolutely discuss a Reserve to protect yourself; a Reserve in this venue isn't the buzzkill it might be on ebay. The buying audience is sophisticated enough to understand the need for a Reserve.
