From that feedback posted, reading between the lines it sounds like some post-sale negotiations occurred.

Someone on CCF should just dump some old, inexpensive bills, 1-50 cent pieces, and some dollar coins to see if they would align in any way similar to what these sellers are posting.

My favorite part of the description "Virginia Nickels"

Would these be Liberty/"V" nickels. I hope but who knows.

Hopefully the buyer is one of us who created an account just to win this auction and then disappear

Or it's a shill - then the ploy becomes contacting the next highest bidder with a second chance "opportunity"....

Is it bad to think this may be a good way to make some money hehe. Mystery Wheat penny rolls seem interesting too. Put a silver merc in one.

My mason Jar full of wheaties just went up in value! No seriously, the seller seems to know something about coins, are you telling me they wouldn't pull everything out and do a google search for the chance to make a butt load more cash? If there is ANY truth to this story they probably left out the part where THEY OPENED THE JAR before mindlessly listing it on ebay!

The only congruence this has with reality is that there's glass and coinage involved somehow.

I bet those people who gave positive feedback are his friends or family just trying to help him out and make it seem like he is a honest coin dealer
